People who want to lose weight sometimes find themselves in a vicious circle of having tried many diets and not been successful which has meant they become dispirited and start to lack confidence in themselves; this can lead to 'comfort eating' which continues the cycle. Some of the pleasant 'side effects' that hypnotherapy achieves through you taking control of your eating habits and achieving your ideal weight are that you gain greater self confidence, feel better about yourself and more contented.

Therapy helps you to understand that there may be emotional reasons why you are sustaining excess weight, or simply realising why you may be eating certain foods unnecessarily. After initial consultation the therapy is designed and tailored to give you back control of your eating habits so whatever your particular craving or situation may be you retain what, when and how much you want to eat. This does not mean you lose your appetite, taste or enjoyment of food it simply allows you to eat the right food for you, enjoying the taste of healthier foods.

You have inside you the inner resource, the ability, to effect change. Within everyone of us our unconscious mind controls many aspects of how we think, feel, behave and react to situations. Part of this resource is the control of your eating habits, appetite, what foods you eat, when and how much you eat. We utilise this force in hypnotherapy to accept the changes that are now appropriate for you in order for you to lose weight at a rate that is sensible, easy and achievable. My therapy then includes the education and tools of self hypnosis to ensure that once you have achieved your ideal weight you continue to maintain the new you.
